I don't like resisting Steve. I really don't. I know it's not right, and I'm not being a good Apple fan for doing it, but I have to do it. I'm sorry Steve, I have to. I am of course talking about the delicious new iMacs Steve released this week. My are they ever gorgeous, really something. And like all good boys, Steve expects me to buy one. I really have no excuse either. I have reached my Coming-Of-Age this summer (the point when you make enough money to actually afford everything Steve releases), so it's not a matter of money. And I don't own an iMac either.

So why resist? It's a matter of timing. And space. I have neither of which. But it's okay, I'm still going to get one of the new keyboards. They really look incredible, I can't believe they could make them so thin. Plus they will go well with my Mac Pro. So it's not all bad, is it Steve?

Here's the deal: when the touch iMacs are released (because they will be the first, mark my words), I will be all over them (pun).

All hail Steve!

iPhones - mini RDF generators

My iPhone is resistant to smudges and grease. I don't just mean the screen, I mean the whole body. And I don't even mean resistant, I mean it repels smudges like vegetables repel the obese. Since receiving my iPhone early last week, I have yet to explicitly clean it (on a side note, mine did NOT include the shimmy like it was supposed to...), maybe take off a fingerprint here or there, but nothing substantial. And yet as I look at it, even from an angle, to better see any dirt, NOTHING. Aside from the bottom where I consistently run a finger to "Unlock" the device, and one line in the middle where I run up and down menus, the screen is totally clean.

It could be the screen is cleaning itself on the inside of my pocket when I slide the phone in and out of it, but my friend has a more likely explanation...RDF! Yeah that's right. Each and every iPhone made and shipped comes with a healthy dose of the Good Stuff. The estimate currently resides at around 20%; the screen having the highest density of around 75%. It's pretty remarkable because up until now, RDF was only known to induce lust or drool or something similar. This seems to be a stronger form of RDF. Of course, like all good Apple products, it delivers a sharp and biting feeling of inadequacy to onlookers regarding their own electronics, which puts a quick smile on the face of the owner, vindicating the hefty pricetag.

All hail Steve!
